It is hard to believe we have completed one month of Semester Two – with yet another bus cancellation to start this week. Next week, however, should be smooth sailing.
Students completed the Poetry Unit Test on Tuesday. The rest of the week was spent on the Dramatic Monologue essay assignment. Each day had a different focus:
- Wednesday: The Introduction
- Thursday: The Body Paragraphs
- Friday: The Conclusion
This week-end your child should be typing a rough draft of their essay for peer editing on Tuesday. This is an essential step in the writing process and I will be directing the revisions and editing. All students must bring a typed, printed copy of their essay to class.
The essay has a due date window of March 6 – March 8. Students must submit the following:
- PRINTED final copy with ALL process work (annotated poem, three pre-writing tasks, rough drafts)
- PRINTED and completed “Achievement Chart”
- UPLOADED FILE to the D2L Assignments Dropbox
